What Is Our Story
The Plush & Stories Project was created to help young children from low-income families build their English skills through the comfort of reading. By providing a storybook paired with a stuffed animal, we give kids a fun, comforting, and engaging way to learn and grow.
Why It Is Important
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy reading, regardless of their family's financial situation. Many children do not have access to books at home, making it harder to build strong English and reading skills.
The Plush & Stories Project helps change that by providing each child with a storybook and a stuffed animal. Reading with a plush companion makes learning feel safe, fun, and comforting while encouraging children to develop a love for books. By giving children these simple resources, we hope to build confidence, improve literacy, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
